For an ideal way to find silence, get closer to nature, connect to yourself and explore one of the country’s greatest treasures, I invite you to discover Yosemite National Park. This California park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the third oldest national park in the U.S.. nearly 1,200 square miles in the Sierra Nevada Mountains the park gives way to plenty of mesmerizing activities. Walk its trails, ride a bike, swim or practice rafting in its crystal clear waters, do a ride, camp, climb the great cliff of El Capitán or dazzle in their redwood forests, one of the highest and longest living trees in the world.
Rent a car to get the most out of your visit and to enjoy sightseeing. Since Yosemite Valley can get easily crowded, consider some of the lesser known but equally stunning experiences such as Hetch Hetchy Valley or Tenaya Lake. While every time of year will offer an epic trip, the spring is a favorite to enjoy the waterfalls. It’s also a good idea to start your day early in the morning to beat the crowds.
Music is born from silence. As a musician enjoying silence in nature is a gift. I am sure you will enjoy Yosemite’s silence and overall experience.
